![]() ![]() Not the scariest experience but the most weird bazaar experience and unexplained experience that I’ve Encountered…………….Ībout 5 years ago I got permission to hunt a new area. ![]() All I can figure is it was asleep right there beside the trail and I scared it out of a dead sleep or something. Later on I started seeing two little yearling deer in that area about every time I walked through. I've hunted all my life and I have never had a deer run at me like that. I must say I screamed like a little girl for a second there It ran straight at me and turned at the last minute as I put my foot out to kick it. As I shined the light that way I saw brown fur, low to the ground and it was running straight at me! My first thought was coyote, and I had my rifle slung on my shoulder and not chambered. All of the sudden I heard something off to my right and down hill from me. Its a fairly good incline so I was paying close attention to the ground and where I stepped as to not slip on the clay. My trail was an old skidder path that was descending from one bench down to the next. I few years ago I was headed to a stand early one morning with flashlight on. I never hunted in a ground blind in hot weather again. Legs.I freaking froze right there,I could not move and didnt know what to do.I waited till he got inĪll the way,I jumped up and swung myself and the chair to the left and out the door in a blaze of speed. Remember I said I sawed the legs off the chair, that is right he was just a dam few inches from my Noise was his belly gripping over the bottom of the blind material of the doorway. Head to look and there was a copperhead snake almost in the blind with me.The movement and I listen and finally it sounded like it was behind me.I turned my It would only do it forĪ couple of seconds then stop a few and then restart again.I looked and listen trying Sliding a combs teeth slowly over a tightly pulled nylon string. Thirty minutes after I had settled in I got to hearing a noise like somebody I got in my blind and it was hot with temps in the low 90s and very dry. In the blind comfortable but still able to clear my bow for a shot. I cut the legs off of a old resin chair which made it low enough to sit I setup a pop up blind on a clover field edge next to the wood line. ![]() I had this happen to me while bow hunting at the first of season. ![]()
